WHAT IS TUBELESS?
A tubeless tire is not puncture-proof but:
• In the event of a puncture by a thorn, the rate of air escape is usually
slower.
• It is not possible to pinch the tube during mounting.
• The problem of valves shearing during braking doesn't exist any more.
• The risk of punctures caused by failure in the rim band / rim tape is
eliminated,
thanks to sealed rims not requiring rim strips.
• The risk of puncture by pinch shock is reduced.
• A more efficient rolling tire due to the loss of friction between the tire and
tube.
Tubeless tires make it possible to use a lower inflation pressure (as much as
10% less) than that used with standard tires and tubes, due to the enhanced
resistance to pinch shock, but offer more:
• Grip
• Efficiency (no friction between tire, tube and rim)
• Safety
