2. Technical explanation, mounting direction:
Why a direction of mounting?
The mounting direction of the tire will make it possible for the rider to
optimize the performance of the tires in terms of braking and forward traction.
In use, most current front tires must provide much of the braking, while a back
tire must bring a maximum of power transmission, it is this which transmits the
effort that the cyclist exerts on the pedal to the ground.
Does everyone have to ride with the tires mounted in the same direction?
According to his/her riding style, each individual can obtain different
performance advantages by adapting the direction of tire mounting to his/her
needs.
Example: Most Downhill riders mount the DH24 or DH16 front and rear opposite the
directional arrow for more powerful braking traction. Running with the
directional arrow provides better rolling and more progressive, though less
powerful braking traction.
